President Donald Trump said the US will offer a “gold card” to wealthy foreigners, providing them the right to live and work in the US and providing a path to citizenship for a $5 mission fee.
In his statement, Trump said that we would be selling a gold card. We will put a price on that card around $5 million, and that will give you green card privileges. Besides, it will be a route to citizenship. And wealthy people will be able to come to this nation after pursuing it. The sale of these cards will start in around two weeks, and it was said millions of such cards would be sold.
Adding more information, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said that the card will replace the existing government’s EB-immigrant investor visa program, which allows foreign investors to pump money into US projects that generate employment and then apply for visas to immigrate to the US.
This new plan mainly focuses on wealthy people against a broader range of investors in the EB-5 vias program. Now, US companies will be able to hire graduates, including those from India. The application process will be more streamlined as compared to EB-5 complex requirements.

This $5 million fee would help America retain productive people only.
